Cobras Looking to Tame the Tigers

The Cobras (18-11) enter the game looking to erase a three-game skid against No. 4 Mount Olive. The Trojans defeated the Cobras 16-1, 4-0 and 9-6. Junior Fico Kondla continues to pace the Cobra offense. He is batting .413 with 10 doubles, a home run and 21 RBIs. Leading the pitching staff is junior closer Zach Loraine. He has a 2.01 ERA with nine saves and 31 strikeouts in 31.1 innings on the mound.

Benedict (17-2) is coming off a two-game sweep of Lane College, 20-2 and 24-2. The Tigers have won eight of their last nine, including their last six in a row. The Tigers boast an impressive offense, batting .408 as a team, scoring 244 runs with 229 stolen bases. Lydell Moseby is the leading hitter for the Tigers. He has posted a .533 batting average with seven doubles, three triples, seven home runs and 36 RBIs through 19 games.
