Coker Shuts Down Chowan in Dual Meet

Hartsville, SC - The Coker University Acrobatics and Tumbling Team took down Chowan in a dual meet on Thursday (March 30) to move their record to 3-2 in the season. 

Starting off with a bang, Coker scored an impressive 37.100 during the Compulsory Heat and took the Chowan Hawks up by 21.2 points. Continuing their momentum into the Acro Heat, Coker posted an impressive 26 points. With the Hawk's 9 points during the Acro Heat, the Cobras went up by another 37.95 points. With a heavy lead, the Cobras headed into the pyramid portion of the meet. Chowan started off strong, but with Coker showcasing the pyramid that has scored them three perfect 10.0 scores this season, the Cobras all but closed out the meet. Scoring 29.100 on pyramids, Coker's cumulative total was sitting at a hefty 92.350 compared to Chowan's 40.900. In the Toss Event, the Cobras scored 27.350 for the individual event and took their score up even higher to a cumulative 119.700 points. Coker took on the Tumbling portion and finished the event with 51.075 points. Finishing out the competition, Coker took Chowan by storm with  170.775 points. Lastly, out of 100.700 points Coker landed an astounding 82.850 points, taking their final score to 253.625 points.
