Acrobatics and Tumbling Comes Up Just Short at Presbyterian

CLINTON, S.C. - The Coker acrobatics and tumbling team came up just short on the road against Presbyterian College on Sunday (Mar. 20) by a 245.780-244.210 margin.

The Cobras got off to a solid start, as they posted a score of 35.2 in the compulsory event and followed that up with a 25.30 in the acro heats. Coker put up a big score of 28.10 in the pyramid heats to take an 88.60-88.00 lead into halftime.

Coker continued to put out solid performances in the second half of the meet, as they posted a score of 22.65 in the toss heats and a 48.750 for their six tumbling passes. The Cobras wrapped up the meet with a score of 84.21 in the team event to bring their score to the 244.210 total. The effort would come up just short on the afternoon.

The Cobras return to the mats Friday (Mar. 25) when they travel to Gaffney, S.C. for a tri-meet against Limestone and Emmanuel (Ga.). Coverage can be found at www.cokercobras.com
