Acrobatics and Tumbling Picks Up Historic Victory

MURFREESBORO, N.C. - The Coker University acrobatics and tumbling team picked up the first official win in school history on Friday (Feb. 25), as they defeated Chowan by a 240.860 - 104.025 margin. The Cobras were led by head coach Brianna D'Angelo in the historic victory. 

The Cobras jumped out to an early 33.65-19.50 lead after the compulsory event, and increased that margin to 87.15-56.00 at the half behind scores of 25.55 and 27.95 in the acro and pyramid events respectively. 

Coker continued to record good scores, as they posted 24.45 in the toss event and a 46.30 in the tumbling event. The Cobras would add an 82.96 in the team event to bring their total to 240.860. 

The Cobras will be back in action on March 17, when they travel to Mars Hill, N.C. for a tri-meet with Mars Hill and Lander. Coverage can be found at www.cokercobras.com
