In her second year of coaching, D'Angelo has coached her team back to the National Championships as her team competed in the Inversion and Open Pyramid Events. During the 2023 season, D'Angelo's team also picked up multiple perfect 10s as well as a 5-2 regular season record which helped them compete in Conference Carolinas Tournament where they took down King, Belmont Abbey, and Lander as they finished 2nd. 

In Coach D’Angelo’s first season with the team, they picked up five wins as the program also finished in first place in the open pyramid event final at the Coastal Carolinas Championship, scoring a 9.975. The team was able to qualify in six different events for the Conference Carolinas Event Championships under D’Angelo’s excellent leadership. She also had her open pyramid team qualified for the national championships with its perfect 10 against #9 King (Tenn.)

D’Angelo comes to Coker from Frostburg State University, where she worked in all facets of the acrobatics & tumbling program as an assistant coach. Before joining the staff at Frostburg State, she was a youth gymnastics coach around Maryland. She was also a youth tumbling coach while enrolled at Glenville State College.

A collegiate acrobatics & tumbling student-athlete herself, D’Angelo was a four-year member of the acrobatics & team at Glenville State, where she was a two-time national qualifier for the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) National Championships. She was a First Team All-Conference selection in 2019 in the Mountain East Conference and was a five-time Mountain East Conference event finalist. She was also a member of the Glenville State women’s track and field team for one year.

D’Angelo earned her master’s degree from Frostburg State in recreation and park management with a concentration in sport management in May 2021. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in athletic conditioning and coaching from Glenville State.
