Adrienne Singletary Named Director of Fan Engagement and Event Management

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Adrienne Singletary has been hired as Coker University's new Director of Fan Engagement and Event Management, announced today (Wednesday, Aug. 31) by Senior Associate Athletics Director for Leadership Development and Student-Athlete Success Aaron Beebe

"Adrienne really stood out during the search process for this position," said Beebe. "Her experience overseeing athletics events at the local, conference and national level really makes her a great addition to our department and our campus community. I am extremely excited to have her on board and look forward to working alongside her to enhance the student-athlete experience and grow our department's image within the community."

Singletary comes to Coker from Sumter, South Carolina where she was the Recreation Complex Coordinator for the City of Sumter since July 2020. In her previous role, she oversaw operations for facilities such as the Palmetto Tennis Center and the City of Sumter Aquatics Center. Prior to taking over operations for the entire rec complex, she was the Complex Coordinator at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter. Before being elevated to that position, she served as a Tennis Center Attendant. Prior to her involvement with the City of Sumter, she was a Human Services Specialist as well as an Administrative Specialist at the South Carolina Department of Social Services in Columbia. Prior to her involvement in state government, she was both an Administrative Assistant and a Field Operations Intern with the American Cancer Society. 

In 2020, Singletary was named one of the Top 20 Under-40 professionals in Sumter, Lee and Clarendon counties.

Singletary was a member of the Division I women's track and field team at USC Upstate, including the inaugural team in 2007. 

She holds a Master's of Science in Sport Management from Liberty University, as well as a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from USC Upstate.
