Coker Men's and Women's Soccer Programs Earn 2021-22 United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Coker University men's and women's soccer programs both earned the 2021-22 United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award, recently announced by the organization. 

746 collegiate soccer teams (220 men's teams, 382 women's teams) earned the award, while 130 schools had both their programs earn the award. To qualify for the award, teams must post a grade point average of at least 3.0 for the 2021-22 academic year. 

The Cobra men earned the award for the second year in a row and the fifth time in program history, with a team GPA of 3.28. Coker Men's Soccer landed 30 student-athletes on the 2021-22 South Atlantic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll while also posting one CoSIDA Academic All-District selection, one CoSIDA Academic All-America® selection, three United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region selections and one United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American. 

The Coker women earned the award for the second year in a row and the seventh time in program history, with a team GPA of 3.27. Coker Women's Soccer also landed 18 student-athletes on the 2021-22 South Atlantic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
