Cross Country Eyes Great American XC Festival

The Cobras keep right on rolling in their 2016 campaign.

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker men's and women's cross country teams will compete at the Great American XC Festival on Saturday (Oct. 1) in Cary, N.C.

The Cobras are coming off a weekend of competition at the Bulldog Stampede, where the men finished third and the women finished seventh.

Jacob Chebii led the charge finishing sixth in 27:50.66, while Brandon Mullins took 13^th in 28:48.23. Razzel Kiplaget rounded out Coker's top 20 finishing 15^th in 29:32.95. Will Mosely collected a top 30 finish (21^st, 31:19.75) along with Luke Elliott (23^rd, 31:49.37). Jordan Bishop (24^th, 32:02.36) and James Gregory (26^th, 34:06.40) rounded out the race for the Navy and Gold.

On the women's side, Darroneshia Lott paced the Cobras finishing sixth in 23:15.84. Breanna Sullivan finished 36^th in 28:29.81, while Tiffany Taylor took 42^nd in 29:26.18. Angie Flores finished 50^th in 30:51.17, while Da'Sha Jobes finished 59^th in 36:46.51.

The race is slated for a 9:30 a.m. start.
