Men Take 15th, Women 21st at NCAA Southeast Regional Championships

MONROE, N.C.- The Coker cross country teams competed at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships on Saturday (Nov. 7). The men captured 15th place and the women finished 21st.

Jacob Chebii paced Coker finishing 25th in 34:37. Noah Cook was the second Cobra to cross the line finishing 81st (37:05). He was followed by Tom Sizeland (84th, 37:09), Brandon Mullins (95th, 37:31) and Razzel Kiplaget (119th, 38:48). Luke Elliot (140th, 41:59) and Adam White (141st, 42:20) rounded out the Coker men.

In the women's race, Hannah Weibel was the top finisher in 55th in 25:23. Shauntel Smullen was the next fiisher in 62nd (25:43), followed by Mercy Muhuhu (78th, 26:01). Lisa Foster (144th, 28:37) and Vanessa Pina (155th, 29:34) rounded out the Coker women.

The races concluded the season for Coker. The women topped two races on the year in the CIU Invitational (Sept. 5) and the Francis Marion Invitational (Oct. 16). The men captured second place finishes at those events as well. The men also took first at the USC Open (Sept. 23).
