Cobras Ready to Run at the Great American Cross Country Festival

CARY, N.C. – The Coker College men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Cary, N.C. to compete in the Great American Cross Country Festival on Saturday, October 4.

The Cobras are coming off second place finishes by the men and women in their last race at the Columbia International University Invitational.

The men were led by the trio of Dylan Bates, Noah Cook and Nick Mascardo who registered top 15 finishes in the 5k event in their previous meet with times of 17:01, 17:22 and 17:26, respectively.

Freshman Shauntel Smullen paced the women with a fourth place finish in the 5k run at Columbia. She posted a time of 21 minutes. Makeda Eley O'Reilly and Mercy Muhuhu brought home seventh and eighth place finishes at Columbia with times of 21:51 and 21:58, respectively.

Races will begin on Saturday, October 4, in Cary N.C.
