Coker Cross Country Wraps Up Season at Southeast Regional

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Coker men's and women's cross country teams finished 28th and 30th respectively, at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional meet on Saturday (Nov. 9) at McAlpine Creek Park. 

Dylan Bates led the way for the men, finishing the 10K race in a time of 35:30.  Coming in next for Coker was Tom Sizeland with a time of 37:36, followed by Fabian Hardy at 39:35.  Britain Tomlinson finished in 39:39, followed by Tre' Williams (43:08), Sean Arnold (46:14) and Patrick Tyler (46:14).

On the women's side, Hannah Cook finished first for the Cobras after completing the 6K run in a time of 24:47.  Cook's time placed her at the 76th individual position overall.  Kirsten Sanders came in next for Coker with a time of 27:47, followed by Naomi Watson at 27:55.  Taylor Hall (29:29), Ashley Thompkins (29:45), and Aneka Dixon (33:58) then completed the field for the Cobras. 

With the conclusion of this race, the Cobras have wrapped up their 2013-14 season.  Tomlinson and Thompkins are the only seniors for the Cobras, while the rest of the runners will be returning for next year's competitions.
