Columbia, SC- Senior David Green/Easley, SC won Division II portion of the Gamecock Invitational on Friday afternoon in college cross country with a winning time of 16:20. The Cobra men finished second overall beating Francis Marion, but losing by one minute to UNC Pembroke.

 

Junior Nathan Hansen/Montgomery, AL came in fourth with a time of 16:33, followed fellow junior Tyler Carroll/Birmingham, AL who finished sixth and freshman David Green/ Easley, SC who placed seventh with times of 17:06 and 17:23 respectively.

 

Seniors Jermain Cooper/Irmo, SC (18:17) and Alex Kornfeld/Greenville, SC (18:24) finished twelfth and thirteenth, while Britt Means/ Irmo, SC (18:45) finished fifteenth. Sophomore Michael Koshis/ Greenville, SC and senior Blake Means/Irmo, SC rounded out the field for the Cobras with times of 20:35 and 20:47 respectively.

 

The Cobras next meet will be the NCAA Southeast Pre-Region Meet at Wingate University on Saturday, September 17 at 10 a.m.
