Volleyball Falls at UVA Wise on Saturday

WISE, Va. - Coker University Volleyball fell at UVA Wise on Saturday (Oct. 1) by a score of 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-16). 

Nehemiah Jinks and Taylor Hills each led the Cobras with seven kills in the match, while Chelsey Blume had six kills and Lauren Loveday also contributed two. Alexis Kopicki, Adriana Velez and Ramsaye Wakinekona each also had one kill in the match. Velez led the Cobras with 12 assists in the match, while Kendal Boland also had eight assists and Makayla Harris added two and Jinks also had one. Hills recorded two service aces in the match, while Boland also had one. Hills led the dig effort with a career-high 13 digs, while Harris also had 11 in the contest. Nine other Cobras registered digs in the match. Blume led the blocking effort with four total blocks, while Hills had two and Jinks, Kopicki and Wakinekona each had one. 

The Cobras return home on Tuesday (Oct. 4) to host No. 24 Wingate for the annual Play4Kay game, as well as Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m. from the DeLoach Center, with video and live stats available at www.cokercobras.com.
