Cobras Outlast the Wolves

NEWBERRY, S.C.- The Coker women's volleyball team traveled to Newberry College Tuesday (Sept. 19) to take on the Wolves in the Cobras' fifth South Atlantic Conference matchup. The Navy and Gold fought long and hard, winning the match 3-2 (18-25, 25-20, 25-20, 20-25, 20-18).

Four Cobras earned double-digit kills for the night. Alexis Berles led the offensive attack with 17 kills, Madison Bingle finished with 16, Taylor du Bray had 14, and Annie Mansfield collected 12. Christen Bragg nearly broke the Coker all-time match record with her 52 assists. Kara Overholt lead the team defensively with her 27 digs, and following closely was du Bray with 25.

As a team, their dig count came close to hitting the century mark at 94. The Cobras also tallied their second-highest hitting percentage of the season versus the Wolves.

The Cobras travel to Anderson, S.C. on Saturday (Sept. 23) to take on the Trojans in a SAC meeting. The match is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
