Cobras Beaten by the Eagles

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker College women's volleyball took on the Carson-Newman Eagles on Saturday (Sept. 16) afternoon in a South Atlantic Conference matchup. The Navy and Gold kept the score tight against the Eagles, but dropped the sets 25-15, 25-21, 25-20 to lose 3-0.

Madison Bingle, Christen Bragg, and Alexis Berles stood out with 11 kills, 31 assists, and a .417 hitting percentage, respectively.

The team finished the match with 33 kills on 32 assists. Defensively, the Cobras had three solo blocks, two from Bethany Prochnow and one from Berles. Kara Overholt led the Cobras' back row in digs with 25, followed closely by Taylor du Bray's 22. Bragg also finished in double digit digs with 12.

The Cobras' next match is at Newberry College versus the Wolves on Tuesday (Sept. 19) with first serve set for 6:00 p.m.
