Cobras Drop SAC Match at Tusculum

GREENVILLE, TN – The Coker College women's volleyball team fell to the Tusculum College Pioneers 3-1 on Friday (Oct. 7) evening in South Atlantic Conference play.

After dropping the first set, the Cobras responded with a 25-20 second set victory. Leading 17-16, the Cobras strung together three consecutive points from a service ace by Taylor du Bray, a kill from Christen Bragg, and a ball handing error committed by the Pioneers.

Coker kept their distance from the Pioneers and capped off their second set victory with a kill by Regan Kennen and a service ace from Christen Bragg.

Madison Bingle led the attack for the Cobras with seven kills, while Christen Bragg dished out 17 assists. On the defensive side of the ball, Kara Overholt collected 15 digs and Madison Bingle recorded three total assists.

The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday (Oct. 8) when they travel to Mars Hill to take on the Lions at 5 p.m.
