Cobras Fall to Bulldogs in Three

WINGATE, N.C. – The Coker College women's volleyball team dropped a South Atlantic Conference contest 3-0 to the Wingate University Bulldogs on Tuesday (Sept. 13) evening.

The opening set started with the Cobras taking an early 10-5 lead that was created from a four point scoring streak. Christen Bragg highlighted the four consecutive points by executing a kill. However, the Bulldogs stormed back for the 25-20 first set victory.

After dropping the second set, Coker fell to Wingate in a hard-fought 25-19 third set. Christen Bragg and Megan Hardy led the Cobras offensively with seven kills apiece. Defensively, Miss Reid collected 12 digs and Bethany Prochnow anchored the middle of the defense with four total blocks.

The Cobras will be back in action when they travel to Queens (N.C) to take on the Royals on Saturday (Sept. 17) at 2 p.m.
