Cobras Look to Dethrone Royals in SAC Opener

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's volleyball team is set to take on the Queens University of Charlotte Royals in its South Atlantic Conference opener on Tuesday (Sept. 16). First serve is set for 7 p.m. in the DeLoach Center, with live coverage available on www.cokercobras.com.

Coker improved its record to 3-2 overall following a successful debut in the DeLoach Center last week. Freshmen Madison Bingle and Megan Hardy continue to lead the Cobra attack and defense with 42 and 35 kills and 47 and 38 digs, respectively. Continuing to set the Coker attack is Christen Bragg, with 168 assists on the season, good for eighth in the SAC.

The Royals enter the match 3-5 overall on the season. Elizabeth Bialkowski and Rebecca Cochran lead Queens with 53 and 51 kills, respectively, while Sydney Kunz has 218 assists to pace the offense.

Tickets for the match are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students. Doors open at 6 p.m.
