Coker Volleyball Drops SAC Match to Newberry

NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Coker Cobras women's volleyball team lost its South Atlantic Conference match to the Newberry College Wolves, 3-0 on Saturday (Oct. 19) afternoon.

The Wolves defeated the Cobras in straight sets, 25-11, 25-18 and 25-14.

Taylor Willis and Toni Hammer led the Cobra attack with five and four kills respectively. Kelly Stine handed out six assists, and Samantha Celek and Willis had six digs each.

The match concludes Coker's four-match road trip. The Cobras will return home for their next match at 7 p.m. on Friday (Oct. 25) against Queens University of Charlotte. They will be hosting their "Dig Pink" breast cancer awareness night and all fans are encouraged to wear pink to the match.
