Cobras Downed by Tornados

HARTSVILLE S.C. – The Coker Women's volleyball team concluded their five-match South Atlantic Conference home stand with a tough 3-1 loss to the Tornados of Brevard College Saturday (Oct. 5) afternoon.

The entire match was heavily contested by both teams as each of the first three sets were decided by five points or less. The Cobras took set two 25-20 before dropping the remaining two sets of the match.

Freshman Amanda Harris led the attack for Coker with 12 kills in the match, while Kelly Stine and Samantha Celek had 16 and 14 assists respectively.

The Cobras will be back in action on Friday (Oct. 11) when they travel to Mars Hill University to face the Lions in a 7 p.m. SAC matchup.
