Coker Drops Three Set Match to Carson-Newman

HARTSVILLE, S.C.  – Taylor Willis had a match high 15 kills in Coker's 3-0 loss to the Carson-Newman Eagles on Saturday (Sept. 28) in South Atlantic Conference women's volleyball action. 

The Eagles defeated the Cobras in straight sets with scores of 25-16, 25-19 and 25-16.

Accompanying Willis as a kill leader for the Cobras was Cassandra Nagel with five kills and five digs. Samantha Celek dished out 21 assists and Mindy Morris picked up five digs.

The Cobras will return to the court on Tuesday (Oct. 1) for a conference match against nationally ranked No. 14 Wingate University. The match is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
