Coker Women's Volleyball Falls to Newberry 3-1

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's volleyball team lost its second South Atlantic Conference match in as many days, 3-1 to Newberry College on Saturday (Sept. 14).

Newberry won the first set 25-14. Coker came back strong in the second set winning 25-22. Newberry won the next two sets 25-11 and 25-12 to win the match.

Loren Hill led the Cobras with seven kills. Amanda Harris and Brittney Pink followed with six and five kills each. Samantha Celek had 25 assists. Mindy Morris led in digs with 23. Amanda Harris also had 10 digs.

The Cobras take on Virginia State and UNC Pembroke at UNC Pembroke on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
