Emmanuel Tops Coker 3-1

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – In their final matches at Coker, seniors April Griggs and Brittany Bass were the offensive and defensive leaders for the Cobras in their 3-1 loss to Emmanuel College on Friday night. Griggs had a team high 13 kills with four digs and two blocks, while Bass had a match high 21 digs.

The Cobras dropped the opening two sets of the match 25-23 and 25-14, but bounced back with a 25-22 win in the third set. Emmanuel took home the fourth and final set 25-22.

Taylor Willis and Catie Truzzolino had 10 kills each for Coker and Samantha Celek handed out 37 assists with nine digs. Hannah Cabaniss and Kelly Stine had 11 and 10 digs respectively.

Coker will play their final regular season match of the season at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Converse College. A win will secure the Cobras spot in the Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Tournament.
