Cobras Shot Down by Flying Fleet 3-1

HARTAVILLE, S.C. – Brittany Bass had a match high 15 digs in Coker's 3-1 loss to Erskine College on Tuesday night. The Cobras opened the match with a 25-19 victory in the first set, but lost the next three straight (25-15, 25-14 and 25-13).

Taylor Willis led the attack with 10 kills, while April Griggs and Hannah Vadakin had eight kills each. Mindy Morris dug up 12 balls and Samantha Celek had 32 assists in the match.

It was "Dig Pink" night at Coker. The Cobras wore special pink jerseys in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They also raised money for the Side-Out Foundation. The Cobras auctioned off pink volleyballs autographed by Coker and Erskine, as well as their pink jerseys, raising nearly $1,300.

The Cobras will be back on the court on Friday when they travel to Queens University of Charlotte for another conference match at 6:30 p.m.
