Cobras Tame Bulldogs 3-1 in Women's Volleyball

WILSON, N.C. – The Coker women's volleyball team earned their third win in the last four matches improving to 3-1 in Conference Carolinas play on Saturday afternoon. The Cobras defeated the Bulldogs of Barton College 3-1 with scores of 25-18, 26-24, 23-25 and 25-23.

Taylor Willis was the kill leader for Coker with 17, while April Griggs knocked down 10 kills. Samantha Celek dished out a season high 51 assists, just four shy of Coker's single match record. Brittany Bass and Mindy Morris led the defensive side of the net with 25 and 15 digs respectively. Bass also had three services aces and Hannah Vadakin added five blocks and nine kills.

The Cobras will play their final match of a four match road swing on Tuesday at Belmont Abbey. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
