Coker Volleyball Falls to Queens in Straight Sets

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Coker volleyball team dropped their Conference Carolinas match against Queens University of Charlotte in straight sets on Wednesday night, 3-0. The Royals defeated the Cobras with scores of 25-12, 25-14 and 25-12.

The loss is the Cobras fifth straight and drops them to 6-10 overall and 3-4 in Conference Carolinas play. 

Freshman Anna Schwark (Coaldale, Alberta) was the Cobras kill leader with six, while Hannah Vadakin (Centennial, Colo.) and April Griggs (Bishopville, S.C.) had five kills each.

Brittany Bass (Bethune, S.C.) had eight digs and Samantha Celek (Charleston, S.C.) handed out 13 assists.

The Cobras will be back in action on Friday night when they will host the Mount Olive College at 7 p.m.
