Limestone Spoils Coker Volleyball Homecoming, 3-0

Coker's homecoming match did not go the way the Cobras' planned as the Saints swept Coker 3-0.  Sophomore Taylor Willis (Zephyrhills, Fla.) led Coker with nine kills.

Coker freshman Anna Schwark (Coaldale, Alberta) and sophomore Hannah Vadakin (Centennial, Col.) both had four kills for the Cobras.  Junior Brittany Bass (Bethune, S.C.) was the McDonald's Player of the Game with 14 digs.  Sophomore Mindy Morris (Beaufort, S.C.) had 12 digs. 

Limestone had a trio of Saints with eight kills, including seniors Jordan Preville (East Lansing, Mich.),  Emmaleigh Halweg (Peotone, Ill.) and Holli Dawson (Beaufort, S.C.).  Sophomore libero Rebecca Kerrison (Charleston, S.C.) had 26 digs for Limestone, and Holli Dawson added 20 digs of her own.

Limestone took the first set 25-15, the second set 25-18, and the third set 25-22.  Coker falls to 6-9 on the season, 3-3 in Conference Carolinas play.  Limestone improves their record to 9-8,  6-2 in Conference match-ups. 

Coker's next match will be Friday, October 7, against Mount Olive College.  The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
