HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College head volleyball coach Todd Caughlin is pleased to announce the addition of Jessica Garrett to the Cobras roster for the fall of 2011.

A native of Fountain Inn, S.C., Garrett comes to Coker after a standout career at Hillcrest High School. A three sport athlete in high school, Garrett was a three-time letter winner in volleyball as well as a letter winner in both track & field and lacrosse. She received All-Region honors, was awarded Hillcrest High’s Ram Award and was named a High School Heisman award winner.

"Jessica is joining Coker Volleyball from one of the stronger club systems in South Carolina - Carolina One Volleyball Club,” said Caughlin. “Her experience competing at a high level of club play in combination with her desire to compete is going to help the program become stronger. She has the ability to play in both the front and back row and that could be called upon this fall."

In addition to her high athletic achievements, Garrett is an outstanding student in the classroom. Ranking in the top five percent of her class, she is a member of the National Honors Society and Beta Club.

Garrett will join nine other newcomers in the fall of 2011 as they look to return Coker volleyball to the top of the Conference Carolinas standings starting in September.
