HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College Head Volleyball Coach Todd Caughlin is pleased to announce the addition of Kelly Stine to the Cobras roster for the 2011-12 season. A transfer from St. Andrews Presbyterian College, Stine will join the Coker volleyball program starting in January of 2011.

Stine is a setter from Fort Collins, Colorado, where she was a standout player at Fossil Ridge High School. Stine played just one season at St. Andrews before the College was forced to cancel the 2010 season. During her freshman year Stine led the Knights to a Conference Carolinas Tournament berth starting 29 of 31 matches. She led the team in assists with over 400, was second in kills with 117 and third in digs with 162.

“Kelly is going to be a great asset for the Coker Volleyball program as we move forward,” said Caughlin. “With a year of collegiate play under her belt, she has experience on and off the court, the competitiveness and the knowledge of the game that will make a definite impact for Coker Volleyball.”

A member of the Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll, Stine is as gifted off the court as on. Prior to her time at St. Andrews she was a member of the National Honor Society and the Colorado Future Business Leaders of America at Fossil Ridge.

Stine joins a Cobra program that is looking to return to the top of the Conference Carolina standings under Caughlin’s leadership. The Cobras will begin preparation for the 2011 season with off-season workouts starting after the holiday break.
