BANNER ELK, N.C. – April Griggs (Bishopville, S.C.) had a match high eight kills for in the Coker volleyball team’s 3-0 loss to Lees-McRae on Saturday afternoon in Conference Carolinas volleyball action.

The Bobcats knocked off the Cobras in straight sets with scores of 25-13, 25-10 and 25-13.

Cynallyhia Indriago (Columbia, S.C.) and Katie McElveen (Hartsville, S.C.) helped out Griggs with four kills apiece. Indriago added four digs in the match; while Mindy Morris (Beaufort, S.C.) had a team high five digs. Molly Bookhart (Orangeburg, S.C.) handed out 20 assists for Coker.

Coker will now prepare for their final two matches of the season next week at Mount Olive and at Erskine College. The Cobras take on the Trojans of Mount Olive on Tuesday, November 2 and they take on the Flying Fleet of Erskine on Friday, November 5. Both matches are scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m.
