HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Katie McElveen and Cynallyhia Indriago each had 10 kills in the Cobra volleyball team’s 3-0 victory over Converse College on Friday night. Coker picked up the Conference Carolinas win with scores of 25-20, 25-21 and 25-20.

Both teams were evenly matched, but it was Coker the came out on top thanks to a pair of come from behind victories in the second and third sets.

McElveen (Hartsville, S.C.) finished the night with a double-double adding 11 digs to her 10 kills, while Indriago had six digs. Mindy Morris (Beaufort, S.C.) added seven kills and 10 digs, with April Griggs (Bishopville, S.C.) knocking down nine kills. Molly Bookhart (Orangeburg, S.C.) had a match high 34 assists and Brittany Bass (Bethune, S.C.) had eight digs.

For the Valkyries of Converse, Val Thoms had a match high 13 kills and Jameiha Maxwell was the dig leader with 10. Lauren Hunsberger handed out 13 assists with nine digs in the match.

Coker returns to the court for their final home match of the season on Saturday. The Cobras will take on Conference Carolinas foe Limestone College at 2:00 p.m.
