HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Cynallhyia Indriago (Columbia, S.C.) and April Griggs (Bishopville, S.C.) each had seven kills in the Coker volleyball team’s second loss of the day. This time the Cobras dropped a tough match to local rival Francis Marion University 3-0. The Patriots won with scores of 25-23, 25-17 and 25-22.

Indriago added eight digs in the match as well, while Molly Bookhart (Orangeburg, S.C.) had 24 assists and eight digs and Katie McElveen (Hartsville, S.C.) had five kills and eight digs.

The Patriots were led by Amanda Mitchell’s 11 kills and four digs, while Nicole Bennett had an outstanding six aces and five digs in the match. Mallory Eggert and Riley Forster added eight and seven kills respectively and Kelsie Deaton had a match high nine digs.

Coker returns to the court on Friday, October 15 at home against Converse College at 7:00 p.m. Francis Marion’s next match will also be against Converse. The Patriots will host the Valkyries in their Dig Pink Match on Tuesday, October 12 at 7:00 p.m.
