MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Coker’s Katie McElveen (Hartsville, S.C.) had a match high 12 kills and 19 digs in the Cobras 3-1 Conference Carolinas loss to Pfeiffer University on Saturday afternoon. Coker went down 2-0 start the match with scores of 25-12 and 25-9, but a 29-27 victory in the third set brought the Cobras within striking distance, but the Falcons took the fourth set and the match with a 25-21 win.

Assisting McElveen with the Cobras offensive attack was Molly Bookhart (Orangeburg, S.C.) with 33 assists and 14 digs, while Mindy Morris (Beaufort, S.C.) had seven kills and 11 digs. April Griggs (Bishopville, S.C.) added eight kills and Brittany Bass (Bethune, S.C.) had 10 digs.

The Cobras will return to the court for their 2010 Homecoming match on Friday, October 1 against Erskine College at 6:00 p.m. in Coker’s Timberlake-Lawton Gymnasium.
