HARTSVIILE, S.C. – The Coker volleyball team had a difficult time with Lees-McRae on Saturday, falling 3-0 to the visiting Bobcats in Conference Carolinas volleyball action. The Bobcats knocked off the Lady Cobras in straight sets with scores of 25-14, 25-17 and 25-11.

Katie McElveen (Hartsville, S.C.) led the Lady Cobras with six kills and five digs, while Molly Bookhart (Orangeburg, S.C.) had 18 assists and a team high nine digs.

For Lees-McRae, Megan Epperson had a match high 14 kills with three aces and four digs, while Taylor Clendenin and Whitney Justice each had seven kills. Megan Mitchell had 32 assists and Clendenin and Dana Oliver each had eight digs.

Coker will now take a much needed break before their next match on Friday, September 24. The Lady Cobras will travel to Queens University of Charlotte for that match at 7:00 p.m.
