SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Coker’s Katie McElveen (Hartsville, S.C.) and Cynallyhia Indriago (Columbia, S.C.) had 11 and 10 kills respectively in the Lady Cobras 3-1 loss to Converse College on Wednesday night. Coker lost the first, third and fourth sets by scores of 25-11, 25-22 and 25-19. The Lady Cobras did pull out a win in the second set, 25-23.

Along with leading Coker in kills, McElveen and Indriago each had 12 digs, while Brittany Bass (Bethune, S.C.) had a match high 21 digs and Molly Bookhart (Orangeburg, S.C.) had 33 assists.

Converse as led by Val Thoms with 10 kills and seven digs, while Jameiha Maxwell had six kills and 10 digs.  Lauren Hunsberger and Kandace Griffin combined for 23 assists with Hunsberger also picking up 10 digs for the Valkyries.

The Lady Cobras will take to the floor for their next match on Tuesday, September 14 when they host Barton College in their first home match of the season at 7:00 p.m. in the Timberlake-Lawton Gymnasium.
