BANNER ELK, N.C.- The Coker volleyball team was unable to pick up a win on Saturday, losing 3-0 to Wingate University and 3-0 to USC-Aiken in day two of the Carolinas Challenge Volleyball Tournament at Lees-McRae College. The Lady Cobras lost the match to Wingate by scores of 25-15, 25-13 and 25-17; and they lost the match to Aiken with scores of 25-12, 25-18 and 25-18.

Katie McElveen (Hartsville, S.C.) was the kill leader on the day with a combined 11 kills and 13 digs in two matches, Jordan Hancock (Mt. Pleasant, S.C.) had a combined eight kills and 10 digs. Cynallyhia Indriago (Columbia, S.C.) had a combined six kills and 17 digs and Molly Bookhart (Orangeburg, S.C.) had 35 combined assists with eight digs. Brittany Bass (Bethune, S.C.) was the dig leader on the day with 17 total digs.

Coker’s next match will be on Wednesday when the Lady Cobras travel to Spartanburg, S.C. to take on Converse College at 7:00 p.m. in their first Conference Carolinas contest of the season.
