Savannah, GA- The Coker Volleyball Team lost their first match of the 2007 Chatham Orthopedic Volleyball Tournament, as they fell to host Armstrong Atlantic 3-1. The Cobras won the first game of the match with a come from behind 32-30 victory, but unfortunately for Coker, AASU won the next three games with scores of 30-22, 30-16, and 30-20. The loss drops Coker to 4-5 overall and 0-1 in the tournament.

 

Leading the Cobras was Megan Haupt/Summerville, SC, with 11 kills and five digs, while Savannah native Margaret Madison had eight kills and eight digs. Kelsey Carlson/Osweego, IL, had 16 digs in the match and Megan Gordon/Chicago, IL, had 20 assists.

 

Coker’s next match of the tournament is at 5:00 p.m. Friday night against Northwood College.
