WILSON, NC – Visiting Coker rose to 2-1 in the Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference Tuesday night with a 30-27, 30-32, 30-18, 30-25 win over Barton. The Lady Bulldogs slipped to 3-11 overall and 2-2 in the conference while Coker climbed to 3-8, 2-1. Keauna Vinson tallied 20 kills and Michelle Walker added 19 for Barton. Laurie Alpert totaled 27 digs and 42 assists. The Cobras were led by Andrea Manuel and Kelsey Carlson with 28 and 23 digs, respectively, while Manuel added 20 kills, Margaret Madison 15 and Megan Haupt 11. Courtney Barton contributed six blocks and Manuel notched five. Courtney Butrym tallied 43 assists.

 

The Coker volleyball takes to the court again on Saturday, September 17, as they host CVAC opponent Lees McRae at 4 p.m. at the Timberlake- Lawton Gymnasium
