Cobras Compete in Liberty Open

Hartsville, S.C.: The Coker University Women's Track & Field Team traveled to Lynchburg, VA, to compete in the Liberty Open, three weeks ahead of their Indoor Conference Championship meet.

On The Track

60m

In the 60m dash for the women, Mila Rausch was able to finish first for the Cobra's breaking nine seconds on her time, clocking in at 8.86 officially. MJ Hurd came in second for the Cobras, finishing with a time of 9.36. Laila Hixon rounded out Coker's 60m dash runners on the women's side with a time of 9.65.

800m

In the 800m, Taylor Marotta took the track for the Cobras, finishing with a time of 2:52.75.

In The Field

Long Jump

In long jump, Jael Stauffer finished first for the Cobras, getting a best mark down of 14' 11 1/2". Following Stauffer, was Kat Andrews who was able to record a best jump of 14' 4 1/4" for the Coker. Rounding out long jump for Coker was Mila Rausch, Rausch's best jump was marked at 13' 6".

Shot Put

In shot put, McKay Kasper led the way for Coker, getting a mark of 25' 0 3/4" as her best mark of the day. Rounding out shot put for Coker was Grace Matt, who was able to get a mark of 17' 4 1/2" as her best throw of the day.

Coker will travel to compete in the USC Indoor Open as their last meet before their Indoor Conference Championship Meet in three weeks.
