Women’s Track and Field Finishes up the Electric City Invitational

Anderson, SC. – Coker faced a talented field over Friday and Saturday invitational at Anderson University. Coker looked for the Electric City Invite to help them tune-up conference championships. Coker had some athletes placed in the top ten throughout the day.

Mariah Mitchem led the Cobras by winning the 400 with a time of 56.46. Stephani Forrester followed her up with a 15th-place finish and hit a time of 1:01.64. Arianna Williams ran for the Cobras a 15.51 in the 100-meter hurdles taking 11th place. The Cobras 4x100 relay team took 5th with a blazing time of 48.40. In the long jump, Jael Stauffer took 16th with a distance of 4.81-meters. Williams jumped in the high jump taking 7th with a height of 1.40 meters. Taylor Marotta and Shawnteanna Tillman took part in the 800 as they both hit times of 2:40.55 and 2:42.95. Kyla Marques ran the 1500 and clocked in a time of 5:46.96. Kayla Mitchell threw 27.57 in the discus throw. Alexis Kopicki clocked in a 16.20 in the open 100. In the 400 hurdles, Williams and Hayes both ran the 400 hurdles and hit times of 1:10.46 and 1:13.78 in a 14th and 17th place finish. In the 200 Nya Exum ran a 25.95 for 12th place. Naizja Redding, Ayanna English, and Alexis Kopicki all as well ran the 200 hitting times of 26.95, 27.77, and 32.75. Coker's 4x400 team snagged themselves a 6th place finish to wrap up the day with a time of 4:11.77.
