Women's Track and Field Unable to land the Podium but still Competes in First Meet

Winston-Salem, NC - The Coker Women's Track and Field Team competed in the JDL College Kickoff Classic this weekend (Dec. 3rd) and had several strong finishes from the team.

Although Coker was not able to land any Track and Field athletes on the podium, they had several finishes around the middle of the pack for the meet. In the Women's 60M, Nya Exum finished in 18th place with a time of 8.04. Lasira Nicholson (27.60), Michaela Hayes (27.86), Arianna Williams (28.23), and Ayanna English (28.97) also competed in the Women's 200M race for the day.

To complete the Women's 60M Hurdles, Naizja Redding (9.36) finsihed in 11th while Arianna Williams (9.86) finished in 17th. For Coker's jumpers, Jael Stauffer and Massassi Maxwell-Smth both competed.

The Cobras will be competing again on January 14th at the JDL Mondo Invitational.
