Cobras Set Two Program Records at Aggie Classic

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Coker women's track and field team competed at the 2022 Aggie Classic hosted by North Carolina A&T this weekend (Apr 22-23). 

Jael Stauffer finished in 21st in the long jump with a distance of 4.80m. Senior Calene Lazare broke another Coker record with a time of 23.78 in the 200 meter dash, finishing in third. Teammate Mariah Mitchem finished 16th with a 25.01. Arianna Williams' time of 1:10.89 in the 400m hurdles put her in an 18th place finish. In the 5000 meter run, Catherine Cann took fourth place while teammate Kessler Cutchin finished in sixth place. 

The Cobras were victorious in the 4x100 relay, as the team of Lottimore, Mitchem, Nicholson, and Lazare posted a time of 46.48, good enough to set another Coker program record. Mariah Mitchem took 17th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 57.64 while teammate Stephani Forrester took 21st with a 1:00.25. 

Coker will return to competition on May 5 at the SAC Outdoor Championships in Anderson, S.C.. Coverage can be found at www.cokercobras.com
