Lazare Breaks Records at SAC Indoor Championships

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Coker women's track and field team completed day one of competition at the South Atlantic Conference Indoor Championships on Saturday (Feb. 26).

The Cobras were led by a strong showing from senior Calene Lazare, who broke her own school record in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.59. Lazare also set the meet record and school record in the 200 meter dash, as she recorded a 24.96. She qualified in first for both events heading into tomorrow's final rounds. 

Nya Exum recorded a personal record time of 8.03 in the prelims of the 60 meter dash. Destiny Ingram finished 13th in the 800 meter event and Jael Stauffer finished in 14th in the long jump.

The Cobras will wrap up competition on Sunday (Feb. 27), with start time scheduled for 10 a.m.. Coverage can be found at www.cokercobras.com
