Lazare Breaks 100-Meter Dash Record on Day One of the SAC Championships

HICKORY, N.C. - The Coker University women's track and field team completed day one of the South Atlantic Conference Championships on Saturday (April 24). 

Calene Lazare broke the school record for the 100m, running a 12.03. Nyasia Weatherly and Nya Exum also qualified for the 100m finals, with times of 12.34 and a 12.70.

Faith Lee advances to the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.54 seconds. 

Giovana Machado and Lee advanced to the 400m hurdle finals, with times of 1:06.90 and 1:08.94 respectively. 

In the 200m finals, Weatherly and Lazare both advanced with times of 25.92 and 24.92.
