COLUMBIA, S.C.- The Coker College women's track and field team had two top-15 finishers in the opening events at the Weems Baskin Invitational, hosted by the University of South Carolina, on Friday, March 23.
Noelia Leake toed the starting line along with teammate Autumn Walters in the women's 100-meter dash preliminary race. Leake pushed across in 12.19 seconds, with Walters not far behind at 12.23 seconds. Leake's finish placed her tied for seventh overall and Walters' efforts in 13th.
The remaining 100-meter dash preliminary races will be run beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 24.
The second day of the Weems Baskin Invitational will take place at the University of South Carolina on Saturday. Results from the events can be found by visiting www.cokercobras.com.
