Coker Women’s Track and Field No. 12 In Latest Regional Ranking

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's track and field team is ranked No. 12 in the latest U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Southeast Regional rankings. This is the fifth consecutive week the Cobras are ranked inside the top-15.

According to Track & Field Results Reporting System (TFRRS), the Cobras rank inside the top-10 in several events on the South Atlantic Conference performance list.  

Noelia Leake ranks fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.42 and second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.84. Briana Nixon and Da'Sha Jobes also rank inside the top-10 in the 200-meter, checking in at ninth and tenth.

Nixon ranks No. 6 in the conference in the 400-meter, with a time of 58.85. Jalecia Williamson ranked tenth, with a time of 1:01.64.

In the 100 and 400-meter hurdles, the Cobras have four runners ranked inside the top-10. In the 100-meter hurdles, Kaylah Ruff's time of 15.11 is fourth best in the SAC. In the 400-meter hurdles, Charity Snelling ranks third with a time of 1:06.41. Ruff ranks fifth with a time of 1:08.56 and Williamson ranks seventh with a time of 1:10.38.

The Navy and Gold rank inside the top-three in both the 4x 100-meter relay and the 4x 400-meter relay. The time of 48.72, which they ran at the Wingate University Invite, is good enough for third on the SAC performance list. The Cobras are ranked No. 2 with a time of 4:04.92, which they ran at the Coach O CCU Invitational.

Snelling ranks second in the high jump, recording a distance of 1.63 meters at the Wingate University Invitational.

Jobes's season-best distance of 5.39 meters in the long jump ranks her third on the SAC performance list.

Snelling's triple jump distance of 10.54 meters at the Lenoir-Rhyne Powersox Invitational is good enough for ninth in the conference.

The Cobras will be back in action on Friday and Saturday (Apr. 15-16) for the South Atlantic Conference Championship in Hickory, N.C.
