Cobras Notch Three Top-Ten Finishes at CCU Invitational

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Coker College women's track and field team finished up action at the Coastal Carolina University Invitational on Saturday (Mar. 12).

In the high jump, Charity Snelling came in seventh place with a distance of 1.60 meters.

In the 100-meter hurdles, Kaylah Ruff finished in 10th place, positing a time of 15.11.

Briana Nixon finished in 16th position in the 400-meter dash, recording a time of 59.85.

Noella Leake and Autumn Walters each notched top-20 finishes in the 100-meter dash. Leake finishing in 16th place with a time of 12.81, while Walters came in 18th place with a time of 12.85.

In the 400-meter hurdles, Ruff and Snelling came in 15th and 16 place. Ruff finished with a time of 1:10.12, while Snelling recording a time of 1:10.32.

In the 200-meter dash, Leake came in 15th place, with a time of 25.85.

The team of Snelling, Lisa Foster, Jalecia Williamson and Nixon rounded things out for the Cobras with an eighth-place showing in the 4x400-meter relay. They ran a time of 4:04.92. 

The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday (Mar. 19) when they travel to Hickory, N.C. for the Lenoir-Rhyne Power Box Invitational. Competition is set for 9:30 a.m.
