Cobras Wrap Up Day One of Competition at CCU Invitational

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Coker College women's track and field team finished up the opening day of action at the Coastal Carolina University Invitational on Friday (Mar. 11).

In the women's long jump, Da'Sha Jobes finished in 19th place, after recording a distance of 4.80 meters.

Coker had three runners finish in the top 20 in the 1500-meter run, led by the 11th place showing by Mercy Muhuhu. She ran a time of 5:22.80. Breanna Sullivan's time of 5:30.67 was good enough for 17th place, while Vanessa Pina came in 19th place with a time of 5:32.94.

In the 4x200-meter relay, the team of Jobes, Noella Leake, Autumn Walters and Jalecia Williamson came in fifth place, after running a time of 1:45.29.  

The Navy and Gold will finish up the final day of the CCU Invitational tomorrow (Mar. 12). Competition is set to begin at 9 a.m.
