Cobras Notch Seven Top-20 Showings at UCS Invitational

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Coker College women's track and field team recorded seven top-20 finishes at the UCS Invitational on Saturday (Feb. 20).

Noella Leake finished in 17th in the 200-meter, running a time of 26.44. Autumn Walters also competed in the 200-meter, finishing in 38th place.

The Cobras had four runners place in 400-meter, led by the 23rd place showing of Briana Nixon. Charity Snelling, Jalecia Williamson and Lisa Foster all earned top-40 finishes.

Foster also competed in the 600-meter, finishing in 16th place, with a time of 1:49.40.

The team of Williamson, Snelling, Foster and Nixon came in sixth place in the 4x 400 relay with a time of 4:19.31.

In the distance medley relay, the Cobras came in 10th place. The team of Karley Weiner, Kaylah Ruff, Vanessa Pina and Snelling ran a time of 13:50.13.

In the high jump, Snelling came in seventh place, with a distance of 1.50 meters.

In the long jump, Talicia Murphy recorded a distance of 5.08 meters, which was good enough for 10th place. She also earned a ninth place showing in the triple jump, with a distance of 10.82 meters.

The Cobras will be back in action on Friday (Mar. 4) when they travel to Mt. Pleasant, S.C. for the Palmetto Classic.
