HARTSVILLE, S.C. – After a week-long break the Coker women’s tennis team returned to the courts on Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference match against Columbia College and in the processed picked up their third straight win. The Cobras defeated the Fighting Koalas of Columbia 9-0.

Coker got the match started by sweeping doubles play to take a 3-0 lead. The Cobras then ran through singles play to take the 9-0 victory. Alyssa Blanchard (Columbia, S.C.) earned her sixth consecutive victory at No. 1 singles, while Kendall Sigmon (Hilton Head, S.C.) came from behind to pick up a win at No. 4 singles.

The women will be back in action again on Saturday when they take on Limestone College in a Conference Carolinas match at Limestone starting at 1:00 p.m.
